Comprehensive care is provided for patients of all ages, for all foot disorders and conditions affecting the lower limb. This encompasses routine treatment such as cutting toenails for the elderly or diabetics, and removing corns and hard skin, to more complex problems such as verrucae, neuromae, gout and bunions. A selection of treatments is available for each condition and you will be advised as to what is involved regarding cost, frequency of visits, pain and recurrence of a condition to enable you to make an informed choice of treatments.
Verrucae, for example, may be removed painlessly either with the regular use of special ointments or with cryotherapy (which freezes the verrucae offering the prospect of rapid removal). Low power laser can also be used to treat verrucae with success in some cases.
In-growing toenails can be treated either as routine chiropody or, if the condition is particularly bad or recurrent, with surgery to narrow the nail and stop the offending edge from growing inwards.
All instruments are sterilised in an autoclave after each use and all scalpel blades and needles are used once then safely and professionally disposed of.
At your first appointment you will be asked detailed questions about your health and any problems affecting your feet, legs and posture. Your condition will be assessed and you will be advised about your treatment. This may involve a course of treatment.
